Station Pier

Here we are at last, at Station Pier, ready to board Spirit of Tasmania I.

We were notified by sms and email this morning that there had been a delay, and our boarding and departure would be an hour later, but we had already planned to drive in earlier and avoid after school and peak hour traffic and so we came in as planned.

We spent a couple of hours walking around Station Pier and having a look at the bay and the boats. Station Pier is where the boat on which we arrived from England docked, almost 40 years ago! At that time, Westgate Bridge was still only partially completed.

I got a few photos. Unfortunately, as our departure is delayed, we probably won't get many clear shots on the way out of the Bay. Maybe next week, on our way back in.
